Les Visites Parisiennes--Le Musée d'Orsay, Beaubourg et Le Marais

The Musée d'Orsay was extremely beautiful. The museum, located next to the Seine, housed thousands of art works from paintings to statues. We went in and experienced the art, and I particularly enjoyed seeing in person Van Gogh's self-portrait, a beautiful post-Impressionist piece. Notably, there was a beautiful ballroom on one of the upper floors, adorned with gold and with a huge window looking out on  the  Seine. I didn't know if I would even like the museum, but by the end of the visit it became my favorite place in Paris so far.--Nick
