The Musée d'Orsay was extremely beautiful. The museum, located next to the Seine, housed thousands of art works from paintings to statues. We went in and experienced the art, and I particularly enjoyed seeing in person Van Gogh's self-portrait, a beautiful post-Impressionist piece. Notably, there was a beautiful ballroom on one of the upper floors, adorned with gold and with a huge
window looking out on the Seine. I didn't know if I would even like the museum, but by the end of the visit it
became my favorite place in Paris so far.--Nick
