Séjour en famille

Mon expérience en France est très bonne.  J’ai beaucoup marché et j’ai bien mangé aussi.  Avec ma famille d’accueil, je regarde la télévision française et je mange beaucoup de pain et fromage !  Notre Dame et la Sainte Chapelle sont très belles.  Les verrières et les vitraux sont très compliqués et ont beaucoup de couleurs.   Après notre visite à Notre Dame, nous sommes allés au Musée d’Orsay.

My experience in France is good.  I have walked a lot and eaten well as well.  With my host family, I watch French television and eat a lot of bread and cheese.  Notre Dame and Saint Chapelle are very beautiful.  The stained glass windows are very complex and have have many colors.  After our visit to Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle, we went to the Musée d’Orsay.--Mohit

I had an extremely eventful and exciting Saturday in Paris.  Yesterday, I slept in after a late night of baking madeleine cookies and watching French game shows with my host family.  After lunch on my host family's outdoor terrace overlooking the Eiffel Tower, Madeleine and I joined a group of American correspondents and their French hosts to go shopping at the boutiques in the Marais district, which fuses the best of Parisian and Jewish culture.  We then rested in La Place des Vosges for a while before Madeleine and I went on a relaxing bateau mouche, or boat ride on the Seine.  After dinner, we travelled to the Champs de Mars, adjacent to the Eiffel Tower, and watched the Top 14 championship rugby match between Clermont and Stade Français on a huge screen.  I am happy to announce that Stade Français claimed their position in the Top 14!  After the celebration, we then arrived home and went to sleep. --Sarah

So far the trip has been amazing. My host family took me to an amazing show at Versailles. It included classical music, accompanied by beautiful fireworks against the back of one of the buildings in the garden. We also walked up to the top of the Eiffel Tower one evening and looked out over the city.  I rested with my correspondent Lilian in a bean bag chair looking at the sky. We came back down to the ground level just in time to watch the Tower light up. The atmosphere here is very friendly and sociable. So far this trip has been very fun with beautiful sights!--Lem
